_Reuleaux rotors
A Reuleaux triangle is a curved triangle with a constant width across its perimeter. It can rotate 360° inside a square with sides equal to its width while always touching all four sides of the square.

The math for drawing one isn’t hard; the math for correctly describing its rotation in a square is. At least, it is for this non-mathematician. But the shape is fascinating and its motion is kind of cool, so I had to try.

These shapes are also called Reuleaux rotors because of their square-rotation quality.
