_Max Bill, Quinze variations sur un même thème (Fünfzehn Variationen über ein Thema, Fifteen variations on a single theme) (1938)
I wrote the code (Python, in DrawBot) to reconstruct this series of lithographs by the Swiss designer, architect, and concrete/serial artist Max Bill (1908–1994) in December 2020, in the middle of the height of the first wave of the pandemic. For those of us fortunate enough to have stayed healthy (or healthy enough), it was a good time to learn how to do things—as a friend of mine pointed out recently.
